The Workout

CrossFit for Hope was created by CrossFit as a way to raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  CrossFit no longer puts this fundraiser on at the corporate level, but we have received permission to hold this event in our efforts to raise money for St. Jude by way of the local St. Jude Runs.

Workout Description

“Hope”

3 Rounds of:

Burpees

Power Snatch, 75/45

Box Jumps

Thrusters, 75/45

Chest to Bar Pull Ups

“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad.  However, in the partner version, athletes, working one at a time, will alternate between each movement.  For instance, in round one, partner one will complete the burpees, box jumps and chest to bar pull ups, while partner two would complete the power snatches and thrusters.  The partners would then switch roles for round two, and then go back to the original setup for round three.

Male-male pairs or female-female pairs can register for either the Competitive Divsion or the Just For Fun Division.  Prizes will be awarded for the top pairs in both the Male Competitive and Female Competitive Divisions.

The Just For Fun Division will feature scaled version of the workout “Hope” where we will work with you to find the best way to make this workout fit you and your partner.  For example, the chest to bar pull ups can be modified to regular pull ups or jumping pull ups.
